Spring brings high water, high fun
by Deric Rothe on 04/05/11
We have taken a few people already this month and the water is running about 4,000 cfs (cubic feet per second) on the South Fork, 2 - to 3-times normal flows. It's more fun when it's bigger. We have brand-new wetsuits from small to 3X, new lightweight helmets and splash jackets so it's warm, really fun and safe. Foothills Bowl is going down the river with Sierra Whitewater on Saturday, May 14. You can sign up at the bowling alley in Auburn or call 530-368-9027 or 916-952-7816 for special rates. After the river trip will be happy hour prices (for attendees) at the bowling alley bar till close, and a slide show and video of the day's thrills and chills (no spills needed). Because of the high water, this is going to be the best year ever. Come on out and join us for a day you'll never forget. Plan a summer adventure today. -- Deric
