Our guides love what they do but they do work especially hard to see that your trip is memorable. If you feel that your guide gave that extra effort to support your experience, it is customary to show your appreciation with a tip; a guideline is 10-20% of your total retail trip cost. This would be both generous and appreciated.
The campground we are based out of requires you to check in your vehicle and pay for parking. It is $4 and cash is preferred.

Our meeting time is very PROMPT. We do our best to be as fast as possible when checking our guests in, so if you anticipate being late please call as early as possible to let them know. As a courtesy to our guests who arrive on time, we will wait no longer than 30 minutes for you (i.e. If you meet at 12, then we will wait until 12:30pm). If we do not hear from you and our messages are not returned, we will consider your reservation as a no show and it will be not be refunded or rescheduled. A buffet-style lunch is available for an additional $15 per person unless otherwise noted by your booking agent and you’ve purchased a trip where lunch is already included. We have an amazing cook on staff and all food is organic, local, and homemade. If you would like to add this option and you haven’t already done so, please alert your booking agent a minimum of 72 hours prior to trip. This will change your meeting time as lunch is provided upon arrival so please speak with your booking agent if you are interested in modifying your reservation. Also, if you have any special requests or concerns please alert your booking agent at that time.
If you do have dietary restrictions of any kind it is incredibly important you alert your booking agent at least 72 hours before your trip. Vegetarians and vegans can be accommodated as well. Please note that if you cancel the morning of the trip and have booked lunch, the lunch portion will not be refunded or applied to another trip as the food is freshly prepared that morning.
Wetsuits are recommended in the months of April, May, September and October for our trips. Wetsuit rentals are $10 per person. If you do have a personal wetsuit please feel free to let your booking agent know and bring it along, otherwise please alert us to the height, weight and gender of each person so that we can properly size you. Wet suits are not regularly packed for trips, so if you are interested it is very important you speak with a booking agent prior to the trip.
We don’t recommend bringing anything on your trip that you are not willing to part with. Photos are taken at major rapids on all South Fork Trips and the Middle Fork Tunnel Chute, and Sierra Whitewater has coupons for the photo companies upon request. If you would still prefer to bring your own camera, it must be of the waterproof type and Sierra Whitewater is not responsible for any lost or damaged items.
