Join us on our famous South Fork trips with THREE different adventures offered, perfect for anyone looking to have a paddle! We have two half-day trips – check out the Chilli Bar on the Upper South Fork or perhaps The Gorge on the Lower South Fork. Looking to really do it right? Then do the entire South Fork with 21 incredible miles of whitewater adventure!

We’ve also got whitewater rapid experiences on the North Fork and Middle Fork. Note that these trips have more limited availability so you’ll have to get in fast! Check out the famous ‘Tunnel Chute’ rapid on the Middle Fork, where you can pass right through a man-made tunnel that still exists from the Gold Rush. The North Fork trip only runs during spring but is unforgettable so grab your spot without hesitation.

Meeting Point for South Fork Trips

FROM THE BAY AREA/SACRAMENTO: Take Highway 50 east from Sacramento. Take the first Shingle Springs exit at Ponderosa Road at Exit 37. When you come off the exit, there is a stop light. Turn left on Ponderosa Road and go over the highway. Take the first right at North Shingle Rd.and continue for approximately 4 miles. When you reach the split, stay left on Lotus Road. Continue on Lotus Road for approximately 6 miles and turn left on Bassi Road (There is a stop sign here). Go one more mile on Bassi and turn right into Camp Lotus. Approximate driving time from the Bay Area is three hours… from Sacramento, 45 minutes.

Meeting Point for Middle & North Fork Trips

FROM THE BAY AREA/SACRAMENTO: Take I-80 east to Auburn/Foresthill exit (approx. 3 miles east of Central Auburn) and turn right at the stoplight. Proceed 200 feet to Lincoln Way and turn left. Work your way through the parking lot to go around back and meet in the upper parking area behind Raleys in the back corner. Be on the lookout for the Sierra Whitewater vans. Driving time from Sacramento is approx. 50 minutes.
